1. Policy Statement

TRU Event Security and Consultancy Ltd is committed to conducting business ethically and with integrity. We recognise our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour within our organisation and supply chain.

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees

  • Directors and management

  • Subcontractors and agency workers

  • Consultants

  • Suppliers and business partners

3. Our Commitments

TRU Event Security and Consultancy Ltd commits to:

Prohibition of Child Labour

We do not employ child labour and comply fully with UK employment legislation regarding minimum working age.

Prohibition of Forced or Compulsory Labour

We prohibit all forms of forced labour, bonded labour, involuntary prison labour, servitude and human trafficking.

Fair Pay & Working Conditions

We ensure all employees are:

  • Paid at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage (as applicable).

  • Paid in accordance with UK employment law.

  • Provided with written contracts outlining terms and conditions.

  • Free to terminate employment with reasonable notice.

Employer Pays Principle

TRU fully supports the Employer Pays Principle, meaning no worker should pay recruitment fees or any form of payment to secure employment. We do not permit recruitment fees to be charged by agencies or intermediaries acting on our behalf.

4. Recruitment & Right to Work

We operate robust recruitment procedures including:

  • Verification of identity and right-to-work documentation.

  • Direct employment contracts.

  • Transparent hiring processes.

  • Due diligence on recruitment agencies where used.

5. Reporting & Whistleblowing

Employees are encouraged to report concerns regarding modern slavery or unethical conduct without fear of retaliation. Concerns can be raised directly with senior management.

All reports are treated seriously and investigated appropriately.

6. Responsibility

The Director has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy complies with legal and ethical obligations.

All managers are responsible for implementing and monitoring this policy within their areas of responsibility.

7. Review

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
