Statement of Intent
TRU Security is committed to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, clients, contractors, and members of the public who may be affected by our activities.
We recognise our duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all associated health and safety regulations. We aim to maintain a safe working environment and to continually improve our health and safety performance.
TRU Security will:

Provide and maintain safe systems of work for all employees and contractors.

Identify hazards and conduct suitable and sufficient risk assessments to control workplace risks.

Provide employees with the information, instruction, training, and supervision necessary to perform their work safely.

Ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and tools used in our operations are safe, properly maintained, and fit for purpose.

Provide appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.

Maintain safe arrangements for the handling, storage, and use of equipment and substances.

Establish and maintain emergency procedures, including fire evacuation and incident response.

Record and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to prevent recurrence.

Consult with employees on matters affecting their health and safety.

Regularly review our health and safety procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Management
Senior management at TRU Security are responsible for:

Ensuring this policy is implemented and communicated across the organisation.

Providing adequate resources to manage health and safety effectively.

Ensuring appropriate risk assessments and method statements are carried out where required.

Monitoring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Employees
All employees have a duty to:

Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions.

Co-operate with the company to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

Follow all safe working procedures and training provided.

Report hazards, unsafe conditions, accidents, or near misses immediately.

Not interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health and safety.
Training and Competence
TRU Security is committed to ensuring all employees receive the training necessary to carry out their duties safely and competently. This includes role-specific training, site inductions where required, and ongoing professional development.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if there are significant changes to legislation, working practices, or organisational structure.
